I actually was a recipient of one of these messages this morning but I thought it looked fishy (no pun intended) so I did not follow the link.
Facebook phishing attack sought passwords
"One version of the e-mail went like this: "Richard sent you a message. Subject: Hello. "Check 121.im" with "121.im" as a Web link and fake Facebook page."
The above description is actually what I received, and it uses an actual friend's name in place of "Richard"- pretty clever.
