As much as I sympathize with those who've lost limbs tragically and otherwise, I fear for the future when robotics has been able to produce something of that measure. Soon enough, all of our science-fiction nightmares will come true...

Ehhhh... honestly, the world might be better off when it is run by robots.

I don't have scientific nightmares. My nightmares usually involve undead pale old women or little girls with no eyes (just bloody sockets) that are either silently crying for help or trying to make sure that I experience what ever misery brought them to their current state. Perhaps both. Often it feels like they seek to petrify me, or suck my soul out with a mere glance into their sockets. I also had one dream where I thought I saw a little girl by herself who I went to help, but when I got close to her it was a woman whose lower body was cut off at the waste. She appeared fused with the floor and of course was bleeding from her eyeless sockets.

(In an attempt to avoid dream analysis:) You see if we had bionic eyes... then there wouldn't be as much psychological pain for these eyeless ladies, and I wouldn't have these dreams... But perhaps, Perhaps the dreams would actually be worse... because the bionic eyes would look real, and then I'd find out one day that someone I know is actually an eyeless banshee hell bent on sucking my soul!

But then again, ignorance is bliss.
